The newly created province of Cuando, resulting from the new administrative reorganization of the former Cuando Cubango, is born with the purpose of bringing governance closer to the populations and enhancing the virgin resources of southeastern Angola. Characterized by vast plains and a network of crystal-clear waters, this region is the guardian of an almost untouched ecological heritage. Cuando positions itself as a frontier of new opportunities, where the State plans massive investments in social and administrative infrastructure that will serve as the foundation for the development of a new decentralized regional economy.
