Bié, located in the geographical heart of Angola, is a province of vast plateaus, extensive forests, and still underexplored agricultural and timber potential. Known as the region of the "soil at the end of the world", Bié has a tropical highland climate with well-defined seasons, allowing predictable and productive agricultural cycles. The city of Kuíto, the provincial capital, has been rebuilding itself as an emerging commercial and logistics hub, taking advantage of its central position to connect the east, south, and north of the country. Agriculture is the soul of Bié. The vast fertile plains are ideal for intensive cultivation of rice, corn, wheat, potatoes, and beans.
